Seppys Wood - Planted by IndiWoods in Co Armagh - A Case Study - Native Woodland Planting.
Seppys Wood was planted in 2017 in an area of approximately five hectares with 9,000 native trees planted. The wood was fully funded through FES plus annual income for ten years.
Now in its sixth year, the woodland thrives and sits harmoniously within the countryside.
Some of the trees were planted with the help of local schoolchildren, and it has been a training site for the Clanrye group.
Bluebell Lane - Planted by IndiWoods in Mullaghbawn, Co Armagh - A Case Study - Native Woodland Planting.
Bluebell Lane was planted in 2016 with over 20,000 native trees. It was funded through the DAERA Forest Service Forest Expansion scheme.
Nestled at the foot of Slieve Gullion in the Ring of Gullion area of outstanding natural beauty, this woodland is now a fantastic glamping site with exceptional facilities, all based around eight hectares of native woodland.
With glamping pods, a shepherd's hut, and converted stone buildings, the woodland offers a tranquil retreat for those wanting to spend time in nature. Run by Padraig and his family, they also offer woodworking classes, artist retreats and live music. And it all started with the woodland – a fantastic achievement.

HorseHill Wood - Planted by IndiWoods in Co Armagh - A Case Study - Native Woodland Planting.
This four-hectare native woodland is located within a few miles of Armagh City. It was planted in 2021 with Forest Expansion Scheme, including an annual ten-year income.
Surrounded by mature trees on all sides, this beautiful woodland is well and truly loved by its owners. With meandering paths cut throughout to make daily walks a dream come true, open space is utilised on the top of the hill to retain the views. A much-welcomed alternative to letting the land out on con acre and not having access to their land all year round.
