Copper Beech (Fagus Sylvatica Purpurea), also known as purple beech, is a cultivated form of common beech that can grow to a height of more than 40m. However, it is a prevalent deciduous hedging plant with all year-round interest and a beautiful range of rich colours throughout the year. The striking winter leaves stay on the hedge until they are ready to make way for new growth in spring, making beech hedging an excellent alternative to evergreen hedging that provides year-round interest. Not suitable for damp ground.
